Autumn

Well I’ve been very bad at this lately, but I shan’t dwell… On with the show as it very much where.

So its Autumn now very exciting. I can’t stand hot weather (it’s no fun dressing in just a dress), and blatantly Autumn means Christmas is coming and so it my Birthday! So I just wanted to share with you guys (or my Mum who I believe might also have given up reading this too) some of my favorite Autumn bits.

1. I’ve been getting majorly into candles lately clearly becoming a Grandma before my time, but I ended up spending a fortune on this Yankee Candle in Red Velvet Cake – I’ve never actually eaten a Red velvet cake but I do love how it smells. It’s definately one of those rich vanillary foody  scents if you like the cupcake ones this will probably be a good- un for you.

2. Fragrance Layering – I’ve been doing this ALOT lately and its something I’ve been loving. My favorites have been the Boots Natural Collection Vanilla Body spray a steal at £2.99, with Victoria Secrets Sexy Little Things Noir over the top. I love doing this but it only feels appropriate doing it in the colder months when everything feels sort of heavy and layered anyway. Do I even make sense right now?

3. Dark Lips – Well I’ll be the first to admit I don’t shake up my make up very often – if I’m honest I like putting my make up on a the start of the day but once I’m out I don’t want to be messing around with it! and usually I always feel really overdone with lots of make up anyway this never feels the case though with dark lips. I love this combination below

Illamasqua Growl Lipstick, MAC Stone Lip Liner, and Illmasqua sheer Lip gloss in Tantrum. (Also please ignore my gammy lips – never knew they were wonky till this picture and my dodgy skin I’m actually in my PJ’s right now and couldn’t be bothered to put any foundation on to take a picture)

4. Nails – Like most people I always lean towards dark colours for Autumn – this year has been no change. However I have found a slightly more surprising love with the light-ish Lilac shade from Essie called To Buy or Not to Buy (I think it was a part of their spring collection) as I said its a lilac shade with a slight blue iridescenct and it’s absolutely lovely!

Other Favorites being (from Left to Right) Leighton Denny Rampant Rose, Leighton Denny Picture Perfect, Essie To Buy or Not To Buy, and OPI A French Quarter For Your Thoughts.

Inside my Make up Draw

To start of again sorry for the God awful camera work, as soon as I have some spare cash I’m buying myself a decent camera, also the lighting is appualling the problem with having a pink room and only being apply to take pictures at night  HOWEVER…..

As stated I’m home for the next few weeks, which meant I had to decide which of my (rather extensive) make up collection I wanted to take home aka what I couldn’t live without for the next 3 weeks. I would also like to make it clear that whilst I have no issue being seen without make up, these 3 weeks consist of various lunches, pub trips, shopping trips, nights out etc. and I do like to have my war paint on when in battle!

BASE MAKE UP

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc, Revlon Photo Ready Concealer in NO. 2, Nars Oil Free Primer, Clinque Loose Powder in 01, and Rimmel Stay Clear pressed (which I just use throughout the day and mostly on nights out).

Illamsaqua Blusher in Tremble a coral-ly pink shade, MAC blusher in Harmony for contouring, MAC Pearl Cream Colour Base as a highlight, Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch for under eye concealing

Eye-Shadows

MAC paint pot in Blackground (a great base for smokey eyes) MAC Paint pot in Soft Ochre (a nice yellow toned base for eye make up) Benefit creaseless cream liner in sippin’ n dippin’ (a slightly shimmery neutral great for whacking on when you can’t be bothered with piles of eye shadow).

My go to Eye shadow quad, in Mulch, Club, Brule and Omega, aswell as the MAC Dashing lassies and the MAC’s last christmas quad whcih includes Soft Brown, Omega, Carbon. Also two individual eye shadows in Grand Entrance a light shimmery neutral and Smoke and Diamonds both MAC

Lipsticks (i’ve just taken a picture of swatches… I couldn’t see the point in pictures of tubes) but

No.17 in Hot chili, Dolce and Gabanna in Nude, MAC in Lady Danger, No17  Bella, Rimmel 1000 kisses stain in Endless blossom, and MAC cream sheen in Delight

if you couldn’t tell I just picked the lipsticks that would give me either a light neutral lip, or a bright orange/red lip perfect for summer

Mascaras, Liners, Pencils…

mascaras I brought Rimmel Glamin’ eyes (my go-to uber volumizing night out one), Two Face pinpoint in brown (a really light natural looking mascara.. which is essential to me being blonde my eyelashes have 0 colour naturally) Cargo triple action lash activator mascara – my standard everyday option .

Liners – Barry M Bold Waterproof pencil (btw this is AMAZING, it lasts forever on the waterline is blackest black very much like the avon supershock but way cheaper), Rimmel pencil liners in brown and white, boujour liquid liner black, and MAC lip pencil in Stone- I use it softly on the bottom of my lip to make them look bigger/more pout-y

I forgot to include MAC lip pencil in supculture and L’Oreal gel liner – which were still in my make – up bag
